Insight and Meaning.....every day!
Sometimes, after a busy day, we need to pause. And sometimes, in a quiet moment, we can feel the goodness of silence. We wish this simple silence would be easy, but like any skill it takes practice. As we learn how to quiet down, in a very loud and busy world, it becomes easier.
I respectfully suggest we don't back away from this awareness of quiet, or a deep healing silence. It can be learned like any other human skill. It only takes a little time and effort.
Silence is not sterile or boring. We can ease into it by remembering moments of beauty in our day. We can even remembering moments of sadness as we learn how to let things go. We might join a meditation group or stop in at a church or temple, to see how others do it.
In these places and with these old skills, we learn how to better become silent. This changes our awareness... and that can change everything.
